Medical Office Administration
Carrington College’s Medical Office Administration program prepares you for front-office roles in medical practices, healthcare facilities, or insurance companies. Through hands-on experiences, you’ll gain essential skills in medical billing, coding, patient recordkeeping, and office management. Earn your certificate in as few as 9 months.
Vocational Nursing
Carrington College’s Vocational Nursing program (LVN) offers a quick path to becoming a nurse. The program allows students to develop the knowledge and skills needed to provide basic medical care in a variety of healthcare settings. Earn your Vocational Nursing certificate of achievement in as few as 12 months.
Pharmacy Technology
Our Pharmacy Technology program is an option for those who want to interact with the public daily but may not want to perform clinical tasks. Pharmacy technicians assist pharmacists in delivering medications to the public in retail pharmacies and medical facilities. (1) Complete your pharmacy technician training in as few as 9 months.
Dental Assisting
Dental assistants help hygienists and dentists with routine procedures such as passing instruments and sterilizing equipment, and may help make patients more comfortable during dental visits. (2) Carrington College’s Dental Assisting program includes classes on anatomy, physiology, and radiography; dental sealants and procedures; and front-office duties and patient care. Earn your Dental Assisting Certificate of Achievement in as few as 11 months.
Registered Nursing (RN)
Registered nurses (RNs) provide and coordinate patient care, educate patients and the public about various health conditions, and provide advice and emotional support to patients and their families. (3) Carrington College’s Associate Degree in Nursing program helps prepare you for RN licensure,* and can be completed in as few as 23 months.
Medical Assisting
Medical assistants perform administrative and clinical tasks in physicians’ offices, hospitals, and other healthcare facilities. A medical assistant may take a patient’s vital signs, record a patient’s history and personal information, and schedule appointments. (4) Earn your certificate in Medical Assisting in as few as 9 months.
Respiratory Therapy
Respiratory therapists help patients breathe easier, quite literally. A respiratory therapist may work with a premature infant whose lungs are not properly developed, a young adult with chronic breathing issues due to asthma, or an elderly patient dealing with an advanced diagnosis affecting the lungs (5). Students in Carrington College’s Respiratory Therapy program can earn an Associate of Science degree in as few as 18 months.
Dental Hygiene
During routine dental office visits, a patient may spend the majority of their time with a dental hygienist. Dental hygienists remove plaque and tartar, polish teeth, and help train patients on good oral health. (6) Students in the Carrington College Dental Hygiene program gain the skills and knowledge to provide comprehensive dental hygiene care, developing professional communication skills and an understanding of ethical standards and professional behavior. Earn your Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene in as few as 15 months.

Visalia Campus’ Career-Preparation Programs
Classrooms Geared for Learning
The campus offers multiple lecture rooms strategically positioned throughout the building to accommodate large-group instruction and computer lab activities for each program, with designated lab training spaces for students in the Respiratory Therapy, Medical Assisting, Dental Assisting, and Pharmacy Technology programs. Medical Office Administration students benefit from a dedicated lecture space, and Respiratory Therapy students have a simulation room dedicated specifically to their program. A wet science lab is provided for nursing and Respiratory Therapy students to conduct experiments.
Medical Assisting students at the Visalia campus have access to equipment like an Autoclave, EKG Machine, and Injection Arm Trainer. Dental Assisting students practice taking x-rays using a digital imaging system, and pharmacy technology students work with the necessary equipment to simulate reviewing and filling prescriptions, including computers, registers, sinks, and shelves stocked with empty prescription bottles. Vocational Nursing students practice on six mid-fidelity mannequins.
