Our 39,000-square-foot facility offers medical, dental, and veterinary technology programs designed to prepare students for entry-level roles in their chosen careers. Pharmacy Technology

Carrington College’s Pharmacy Technology program offers a well-rounded education for students who enjoy daily interaction with the public but prefer to avoid clinical healthcare careers. Pharmacy technicians help pharmacists provide medications to the people who need them, working in settings that range from retail pharmacies like Walgreens to in-house pharmacies at medical facilities. (1) Complete your pharmacy technician training and earn a Certificate of Achievement in as few as 9 months.

Medical Assisting

Medical assistants handle administrative and clinical tasks in settings such as physicians’ offices, hospitals, and other healthcare facilities. Their responsibilities can include taking a patient’s vital signs, recording patient history and personal information, and scheduling appointments. Dental Assisting

Dental assistants support dentists and hygienists during routine procedures by passing instruments, sterilizing equipment, and helping patients feel comfortable during visits. (3) Carrington College’s Dental Assisting program covers anatomy, physiology, and radiography, along with dental sealants and procedures, front office duties, and patient care. Students can complete the program in as few as 9 months.

Veterinary Technology

Veterinary technicians work alongside veterinarians and vet assistants to care for animals in both routine and emergency settings, drawing blood, checking vitals, administering medications, and communicating with pet owners. (4) Earn your Associate Degree and prepare for the Veterinary Technician National Examination in as few as 19 months through our Veterinary Technology program.*

The San Leandro campus is an approximately 39,000-square-foot facility that houses classrooms and learning labs, including a Veterinary Technology surgical lab. All programs provide industry-current equipment, supplies, and learning resources. Outside the classroom, the student success center is equipped with reference materials, textbooks, journals, and student computers. Classrooms Geared for Learning

The campus includes classrooms with Apple TV® and ceiling-mounted LCD projectors, as well as computers and Wi-Fi for student use; the Carrington College library website also offers online resources and professional organization information.

The campus has a student testing center, staff lounge, copy/distribution center, conference room, and administrative and faculty offices. The campus offers a variety of student services, including enrollment, financial, registrar, and career services.
